Vegan Spicy Tofu Stir Fry Recipe
Today, we have prepared a simple tofu recipe for beginners. It’s one of the easy and quick recipes with no fuss and requires minimal time. If you enjoy tofu, you will love this recipe. Not only are they delicious, but they’re also gluten free and healthy too. Tofu is a good source of protein and contains all eight essential amino acids.
Vegan Spicy Tofu Stir Fry Recipe Video
In this recipe, we have used few spices and onion & capsicum as vegetables to make a perfect stir fry.
Ingredients for Vegan Spicy Tofu Stir Fry Recipe:
- 300 gms Tofu
- ¼ cup Onion
- ¼ Cup Capsicum
- 2 Tablespoons Coriander Powder
- ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 1 Tablespoon Mango Powder
- ½ Teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
- 2 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil
- Salt to Taste
Instructions for Vegan Spicy Tofu Stir Fry Recipe::
- Wash and cut TOFU into long pieces. On the other hand, chop onions and capsicum as well (long pieces too).
- Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in pan over a medium-high heat.
- Now add ¼ cup of onion strips and sauté until light pink or just for a minute. Do not cook too much.
- Once onions are done, toss in ¼ cup of capsicum strips and sauté for a minute. Once it’s done, add 300 grams of tofu pieces.
- Sauté the tofu for around 5-7 minutes. Flip occasionally to cook on all sides, until tofu has a slight crust on each side and has begun to turn brown.
- You will notice the colour has changed.
- Add salt to taste, ½ teaspoon turmeric powder, 2 tablespoons coriander powder, 1 tablespoon of mango powder and ½ teaspoon of chilli powder (cayenne powder)
- Mix slowly so that the tofu does not break. Simmer for 2 to 3 minutes and your tofu is done.
- Serve hot with rice or flat breads.
